Proof, Not Assumption – The Princes in the Tower

History is built on passion, debate… and proof.

One of the most enduring mysteries in English history remains the fate of the Princes in the Tower. Many are certain of what happened. Many are equally certain of who was responsible. But certainty is not the same as evidence.

As historians—whether professional or passionate—we have a responsibility to separate belief from proof. Despite centuries of accusation, there is still no definitive, scientific evidence that confirms exactly what happened to the York boys, or who was ultimately responsible.

That is why this matters now more than ever.

We are in a position, with modern DNA testing, to finally move beyond theory and into fact. To answer questions that have lingered for over 500 years. To bring clarity where there has only ever been speculation.

If you care about history, about truth, and about evidence over assumption, I urge you to support the petition calling for DNA testing of the remains believed to be those of the Princes in the Tower.

Only with proof can we begin to truly understand the past.
