The Murdered Princes in the Tower 1483

One of the biggest unsolved "who dun its" in English history

Does England actually care about the Bayeux Tapestry?

19th March 2026 by | Uncategorized

I found something quite striking this week.

Across LinkedIn and other platforms, I have close to 20,000 connections.
Yet when I posted about the Bayeux Tapestry — one of the most important historical artefacts connected to England — it received just four comments.

So it raises a genuine question:

Does England actually care about the Bayeux Tapestry?

We talk often about heritage, identity, and history.
We debate where objects belong, and whether they should be returned.

But when the conversation is placed in front of us —
do we engage?

Or do we simply move on?

I would be very interested to hear views on this.

Do you believe the Bayeux Tapestry matters today?
